Some ideas crowded into my head for this topic, but one stood out above all my neural revolution... my neurons speak loudly, you know, I'm Spanish :)) That idea was to make a droplet portrait. I did a search and found some great clues.
Due to reflections on the methacrylate I decided to do it with artificial light and illuminate Miguel from below. In our modest BTS bit.ly/31mFIGw Miguel prepares the droplets and once again our stuffed dragon served as a test model. When everything was ready, Miguel replaced the dragon's place and I clicked.
During the process we found some difficulties that we were overcoming, details to improve for next time and once again gratitude to learn and enjoy with this challenge! ♡
The harbor was the same color as the dawn sky...

Morning Light Magic - Dawn sunlight peeked underneath the docks in Edgartown Harbor, for just a minute or two, magically causing the light to dance on the rippling water.

the winds whip up heavy waves
the lines tear themselves from the mooring
setting me adrift on a tumultuous journey
with no sure headings set
the waves and the winds push me
wherever they should wish
the severed line trailing uselessly
behind in the turbid lake
rain beats down upon me
soaking me to the bone
the lake is taking over
pulling me lower and lower
the surface is now above me
still being pushed by the waves
the howling wind is silenced
only the breaking waves remain
the surface shrinks away
the muddy bottom grows closer
floating in a state of limbo
the sense of falling slowed
rhythmically the water
pushes me forward
the muddy bottom drags the beat
movement now is sporadic
day and night blend together
leaves join me here below
then the surface freezes over
locking tight the gate
the ice retreats
the storms increase
their presence only felt
by the occasional push along
the small dot at the surface gets bigger
after the storm’s passing fury
and warmth begins to return
the storms have been frequent this year
I finally break the surface
to a world I don’t recall
Isolated on a distant shore
so very far from home
My mooring place is gone.
left here stuck in sticky muck
the shore just out of my reach
here I am waterlogged and alone

This week’s 52F assignment was focused on “Water.” Due to time constraints, I took my photos indoors. I set up a glass of water in a dark room and positioned my gelled speedlite directly above it. To create the vortex effect, I used a drink frother in the glass of water. After taking several dozen photos, I managed to capture a few usable shots.

I wanted a long shutter speed because I had in mind to do something with ICM. Then the jet ski came along and I tried to capture a fast moving object with a long shutter speed. I managed to keep the jet ski in the frame, move with the camera and yes, the sea and the splashing water did become nicely blurred as I had in mind.
This is a close up image of the water filling up my glass in my refrigerator water dispenser.

52Frames - Week 4 - Water
I tried to accomplish three things with this image:
1. Represent the three states of H2O - liquid, solid and gas
2. Depict the USA colors joining together; with leadership in the White House, perhaps now we can truly be the UNITED STATES again.
3. Try my hand at compositing 4 images in Photoshop.

52Frames: water
Just down the road, our nearby pond drains into a brook. I took a walk there before the day's sun could get overwhelmingly hot.
First time trying out my polarizing filter and neutral density (ND4) filter -- now I wish I had used them on my recent national park visit!
