My level of plant care has always been "cactus-level" but little by little and particularly since this year, the idea of bringing a bit of nature closer to our apartment pleased us. We are again confined for 10 days at home... :( So seeing a bit of green for sure will make us some good! 😅

Otters - I was walking along the shore looking for a sunrise photo with this guy casually walked in front of me without a care in the world.

What's beyond our Milky Way galaxy? Bubbles, of course! I decided to do some experimenting. This photo utilizes a dark tub filled with water and three additives: motor oil, cooking oil and liquid dish soap. I didn't alter the colors at all, so the yellow highlights must be the way the bubbles were catching the bright, low sun. However, the longer I stare at it, the more I see beautiful other worlds, waiting to be explored.
Last week’s 52Frame assignment focused on the theme of Nature, with an added challenge of using an exposure time of 10 seconds or more. I had numerous options for this assignment since nature is all around us if we take the time to look. Fortunately, being from Northeast Ohio, I have access to many green spaces with bodies of water. One of these locations served as the perfect backdrop for my project, especially as autumn begins to set in and the trees start changing colors. As I was preparing my camera and tripod, I came across the ND filter I had used for the solar eclipse last April. Inspired, I decided to embrace the extra challenge. After doing some quick calculations, I determined that I needed at least 180 seconds of exposure time. Ultimately, I ended up with an exposure of 207 seconds.
I like glass gardens. I like them espcially because they don't need much attention and they survive for a much longer time than any other plants in my house. Except the one succulent that does not need any water at all, as it seems. Anyway, I just recently made a new glass garden in a sunglas, a jar with a tiny solar lid that charges the battery that feeds the LED light when turned on.
