The Dunnock is a small brown bird that can be found all over the UK. It is also known as the Hedge Sparrow. The bird is similar in size to the robin and is known for being shy and reserved. The Dunnock is a resident of Britain and can be found almost everywhere except the Shetland Islands. It is a tetchy and nervous bird that constantly flicks its wings as it looks for food.
