March 16, 2025. A morning walk with nothing better to do. With a Sigma telezoom better than its reputation.

"Redrum", because it's good with reds. And greens, and blues...
Color neg film is a nice variation to my otherwise mainly b&w work. But sold here in Sweden for $23 per 135/36 film, it's perhaps not the cheapest option...
Taken atop of the roof of our hotel at 511 Lexington Ave, 314 feet (96m) above the ground. A tall building by many cities standards, but dwarfed by the giants in midtown NYC.

Back to Nottingham for some up-to-date pics now, where I finally took the chance to do some long-overdue Mansfield Road spotting where I badly needed to get NCT's 2019 intake of E400 cities on lime, yellow and purple lines... just a shame NCT have gone and put two in spare livery before I ever got the chance to get them properly in lime and purple. Another month or-so and I would've probably had 'em.
Here's 511 coming off at the roundabout and passing the disused bus stop on Gregory Boulevard, taken on the Panosonic camera as I hadn't yet fished the DSLR out. Other than a quick grab of one on Milton Street last year, here's my first step towards photographing the 69 plates on yellow line!

Major service revisions in Scarborough from 15 April will see all local routes renumbered within the 1/7-11 range. The only services to be retained under their present numbers with similar routes are the 1 to Cayton, 7 Eastfield anti-clockwise circular (the clockwise 17 being renumbered 7A), and hospital route 10 which will now incorporate elements of service 2. Besides the withdrawal of service 8 to Ayton/Hutton Buscel, and a reduction in the EYMS service to Burniston and Cloughton from the half hourly 15 to the twice daily 115 to Ravenscar, these changes on the face of it represent a thoughtful rationalisation of resources, saving four buses whilst delivering comparable levels of service to the majority of areas. Changes in Bridlington in early May will see local routes in the town renumbered 2-6 which, together with the splitting of service 121 at Bridlington with the northern end renumbered 12, and the renumbering of the present X20/120 and 510 to respectively 13 and 14 at the same time, means that the majority of services in the northern part of the EYMS network will fall into the 1-14 number range.
One of two allocated to Scarborough from a batch of five new last July, E200 YX17NKF (511) is seen as it heads back down the A171 in Cloughton with the 14:05 15 back to Scarborough. The 15 presently operates every thirty minutes between Scarborough, Scalby, Burniston, and Cloughton (Hood Lane). When combined with Newby services 13 and 14, it provides a bus every fifteen minutes along Scalby Road. Following tomorrow’s changes, Burniston and Cloughton will be served by Arriva’s half hourly X93 (hourly in the winter) and the twice-daily (Mon-Sat) EYMS 115, and Scalby will be served by new EYMS services 9 (clockwise) and 9A (anti-clockwise) which will also replace elements of services 3 and 12 in the Burniston Road area.
