This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Fall of Saigon.
The fall of Saigon, known in Vietnam as Reunification Day (Vietnamese: Ngày giải phóng miền Nam, thống nhất đất nước), was the capture of Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam, by North Vietnam on 30 April 1975. As part of the 1975 spring offensive, this decisive event led to the collapse of the South Vietnamese government and the evacuation of thousands of U.S. personnel and South Vietnamese civilians, and marked the end of the Vietnam War. The aftermath ushered in a transition period under North Vietnamese control, culminating in the formal reunification of the country as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under communist rule on 2 July 1976.
On 29 January 1971, the first to Royal Air Force Puma helicopters were delivered into service.
To commemorate 50 years of service, Puma HC Mk2 XW224 has been given a unique new paint scheme.
The engine housing boasts the badges of all the squadrons who have flown the Puma, both as a HC Mk 1 and a HC Mk 2;
The tail fin is emblazoned with the union flag;
The standard Royal Air Force logo on the cabin door has been replaced with the bespoke Puma 50 logo.

I had always wanted to experience the Northern Lights and so travelled to Iceland in the hope of seeing them. In the early hours of my 50th birthday they appeared.

I do not normally post personal photographs but today is a special day celebrating the best decision I ever took.
A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year.

Celebrated my grandparents 50th anniversary last night with all of the relatives, and also did family reunion shots (we haven't been together as an entire family for almost 3 years now) so it was a ton of fun! And when I was planning the family shots my dad and I found these two big lights that painters were using in the church that we got to use and they helped SOO much!
