Obviously a restoration project.
A BMW 501 spotted at Motorworld Munich.
The BMW 501/502 were the first cars BMW made after the war in Munich - before this the BMW cars (pre-war models only) were made in Eisenach in the Soviet occupation zone.
The 501 was a luxury car, powered by the 2 liter inline-six M337 engine with 65 hp (48 kW). Production of the 501 was from 1952-1954, then the V8-powered 502 was launched.
Due to their curvy lines the German public used to call the 501 and the 502 Barockengel (Baroque Angels).

Deutlich vor Plan verkehrte am Montag der RBC/Crossrail Walter nach Rheinhausen. 471 501 brachte den Zug ins Ruhrgebiet und konnte bei Stephansposching abgelichtet werden.

Am 8.7. konnte ich 470 501 am Gartner KLV ablichten. Wegen der großen Verspätung passte der Sonnenstand in Langenisarhofen perfekt. Gerade noch vor dem Gewitter kam der 41931 an der Fotostelle angefahren.
Im letzten Licht des Tages fuhr noch ein BLS KLV Zug von Deutschland kommend Richtung Italien. Bei Rafz wurde er kurz nach der Grenze zur Schweiz mit der 486 501 fotografiert. Ab 2.10.17 sollen die Züge alle wieder über die Rheintalstrecke verkehren.
Einen langen Kesselzug brachte 187 501 Akiem/HSL von Aachen nach München Nord und konnte nahe Obereichstätt abgelichtet werden.
Am 18. Mai 2020 konnte ich 471 501 mit dem 40644 (EVU: RBC) unweit von Kimpling ablichten. Leider war der Zug etwas vor Plan wodurch der Sonnenstand nicht ganz optimal war.

Ein ALe 501 rollt als Regionalzug von Avezzano nach Sulmona in das Valle Peligna hinab. Dessen Talgrund wird dominiert vom einzeln stehenden Monte San Cosimo, um den sich Bahnlinie von Sulmona nach L'Aquila herumwindet. Die schneebedeckte Bergkette im Hintergrund ist die Majella und am Hang unterhalb der großen weißen Wolken rechts sind bei ganz genauem Hinsehen die Viadukte der "Transiberiana" von Sulmona nach Carpinone auszumachen.
Heading from Avezzano to Sulmona an ALe 501 rolls down into Valle Peligna. On the ground of the valley the line from Sulmona to L'Aquila meanders around Monte San Cosimo, while the tops of the Majella are still covered with snow. On the slopes below the large white clouds on closer inspection even the viaducts of the "Transiberiana" from Sulmona to Carpinone are detectable.
