Black 5 44871 is seen departing Bristol with the 0847 BTM to Par Royal Duchy railtour.

The near perfect conditions justified my early start but I was nearly caught out. As she departed she cleared her cylinders for quite a long time. The winds with a northerly component in it kept the steam over the front of the loco until she shut the valves with just a few yards to spare hence the whisper of steam on the front and the creative cropping.

It was a pleasure to meet fellow flickorite Adam Snow this morning.

Week 5 / 52 topic is long exposure. This was shot late this afternoon in Coquitlam & is 10 frames stacked in Photoshop CC. Each exposure was 6 seconds. Secondary edits were done in Lightroom Classic. Building tilt care of 14mm lens.

....I refurbished & modified this $17 dreadnought guitar. Picked this up in an auction. The neck was broken. I made a new neck & headstock (Maple). fretboard (Black Walnut), bridge (Black Walnut), bone nut & saddle, and new pick guard. Replaced the old tuning pegs and installed new fret wires. 5 string to play in open G tuning, because of my left index finger index is gone due to an accident years ago. I named this guitar "Song Sparrow" because of the woodburning on it; the bird, feather and footprints on the fretboard.
