Don't worry you haven't got the wrong Flickr feed. I just like to mix it up a bit!

Here is a less successful 4x5 camera night photo. The wind blew the teasels in the foreground which I focused on so nothing was in focus. It looks nice if you squint hence I put a bigger border on.. though i like how it rendered the buildings bottom left.

I finally got a chance to shoot with my Burke & James 4x5! I am shooting with a fujifilm back and some instant film and with a lot of help from Ryan I have it figured out (well, almost!) These are the first two self portraits I took on my own and I feel like this is the start of something really good.

The only 4x5 I had luck with at Bodie

Shot using my 4x5 camera and using expired Polaroid 108 film

My first large format picture!

The transition from medium format to large format wasn't as big as I had initially feared. This might be in large part due to me using the big hefty Mamiya RB67 as my main medium format camera. But oh boy, the 4x5 is something else. The moment I pulled out my developed negative from the tank was sheer magic! The scale, the resolution, the experience of shooting, it's all so incredibly fun while still being challenging. I'm completely hooked. 2025 is the year of large format!

Strange use of negative large format sheet

Sinar f 4x5 with 210mm fujino f9.0lens. Fuji Acros developed for 12min. in 1/25 Rodinal at 20C in a Jobo 2520 tank with 2502 reel. Straight-printed with an LPL 7453 enlarger + EL-nikkor 135mm/5.6 lens at G2.0. Paper is 8x10 Adox MCC110 processed with Ado Neutrol developer and Adox Selenium Toner II. Print was washed with a Patterson print washer. Pressed with a Seal Junior 60 press and scanned on a CanoScan LiDE 40 scanner.

You can see the tonality (texture) is definitely better with large format.

Bremen's cityscape is characterized in part by traffic crossings. These are striking elements in the urban landscape. The above-ground rail traffic crosses the city on bridges and tunnels, the road traffic crosses on elevated roads.

The places with bridges, with tunnels, with elevated roads are the subject of this work about the Bremen cityscape.
