Automatic Color Correction turned on in the scanner, as it was scanning the slide more cyan than it actually was.
Really enjoyed this block and I kinda want to make a whole quilt now (all solids maybe?).

Mark Dacascos
Lighting Test for Black Belt Magazine (January 1995 cover)
Cover and Inside color.
"Mark Alan Dacascos (born February 26, 1964) is an American actor and martial artist.[1] He won numerous karate and various styles of kung fu championships between the ages of 7 and 18.[2] Dacascos is perhaps best known for his roles as Toby Wong in the 1997 film Drive, and Ling in the 2003 film Cradle 2 the Grave.
Beginning in January 2005, Dacascos has portrayed the Chairman on Food Network's television series Iron Chef America. This role was previously played by Takeshi Kaga in the original Japanese Iron Chef, and Dacascos' character is presented as Kaga's nephew, though the actors are not related. Some of his other roles include the recurring character of Wo Fat on the CBS series Hawaii Five-0; Kung Lao in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy; Eric Draven in The Crow: Stairway to Heaven; Eubulon, the Advent Master in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight; the role of Mani in the French film Brotherhood of the Wolf, and the lead role of Crying Freeman in the film of the same name.
Dacascos competed in season 9 of Dancing with the Stars."

Another paper negative shot with the MPP MKVII camera, handheld using the rangefinder and 150mm lens.
Added the cold shoe for the wireless flash sync, a hole to run the sync cable and a tripod mount... still needs a handle but its now 100% operational.
The original negative did not look right and the film did not scan well. This bothered me until final I went back and looked at the darkroom.
I had used expired blix - probably one year old! (I keep Blix and hand it across when we have special collection days)
I reblixed for an additional 3 minutes, scan came out better as did colours and grain.
oh yeah... don't drop your negative on the floor before it is dry.

First experiment with a 4x5 Intrepid Camera. Lens is a Fujinon 125mm, film Foma 100 developed in Rodinal. Warm tone added in Capture One.
Scanned with an Epson V800 using VueScan.

Arista.EDU Ultra 100 4x5
Alien Bee 800 Orb clone softbox on a boom front and near center, cactus v4 trigger.
I either missed the focus on this one, or the lens is just too soft wide open. Actually I suspect both, but I wanted to see what it would do wide open.
Doh, I just realized that I scanned this negative upside down. And I replaced it with a flopped version to correct it.

Another 4x5 negative from some large format pictures I took in the mid to later 1980s, which I've cropped a bit. This is the Barters Island Baptist Church, located on (you guessed it) Barters Island, part of Maine's Boothbay Region. Built in 1876 it continues to have an active congregation today.
I didn't stay with shooting 4x5 for long. I'd guess the film used here was Kodak Tri-X which I probably developed with D76. I scanned this using two passes on my Canon 8800f scanner (which does not cover a full 4x5 negative), then merged it into one image using PSE, followed with some editing using NIK Silver Efex Pro.
