Lego Star Wars Episode V Empire Strikes Back

Though I guess they were all Bounty Hunters at one point or another.

Kyle Katarn: Poor Kyle, booted from continuity by The Mouse. PoTC head, Rebel Trooper torso, CMF Sheriff legs.

Cad Bane: I have a love/hate relationship with this character. Regardless the official fig never sat right with me, so I sought to rectify that. CMF Sheriff hat, Rebel trooper head, Cad Bane torso, Electro legs, Brickforge vambraces, Trenchcoat.

Mara Jade Skywalker: Probably an even heavier loss from continuity as put forth by The Mouse. Lois Lane hair, Standard female head, Mime torso.

4-LOM and Zuckuss. I've actually had these guys around since like, two Octobers ago, but now that there's rumors of official ones being released I figured I might as well get mine out there. 4-LOM is just RA-7 from the Yoda chronicles with a gun. Zuckuss has old Nein Nunb head, and an LoTR torso.

It's also just occurred to me that I have two of those Cad Bane breathing apparatus things. Weird.

Anyways, let me know what you think!

Lego Star Wars Episode V - Empire Strikes Back

. . . Hunters of Gentlemen.

So about a week ago I threw together kind of an old 1940's pulp-adventure serial style version of Boba Fett using the new CMF Retro Space Guy parts.

Then I decided he needed some friends.

Dennis,

Ignatius 88,

Bob Feterra,

Boris,

Zachariah,

and Lombard 4.

These are just for the hell of it, so I'm not gonna go through parts, and I kinda wish I had this idea back when Kaiju Dan's contest was still on. Ah well.

Cheers folks!

Lego Star Wars: Episode V Empire Strikes Back

Not gonna lie, I think I nailed Zuckuss on this one.

At least the molded head one. That brick-built one weirds me out a little.

Anyways, in my quest to create the perfect Bounty Hunter minifigures, I stumbled across the Mosquitoid heads from Galaxy Patrol (squad? no, patrol) and thought "Huh, wonder what that would look like with the snout cut off . . ." Turns out if you glue a flat stud on it, and paint the crap out of it, it looks like Zuckuss.

I made the parts-based heads for a more old-school version of the duo, and I think they look fine. Kinda weird, kinda creepy, but fine.

Also I gave Bossk a backwards red face mask to simulate his turtle-neck thing.

Anyways, let me know what you think.

Cheers, folks!

Just wanted to get a shot of my Ultimate Bounty Hunters all together, from the prequels, originals, the Clone Wars, and even The Force Unleashed. There are a damn lot more of em than I realized. It hasn't quite reached Suicide Squad levels yet though.

Kleef, Robonino, Zam Wesell, Asajj Ventress, Greedo's smoking corpse, Latts Razzi, Embo, Assassin Droid, Aurra Sing,C-21 Highsinger, Bossk, another Assassin Droid, Jango Fett, IG-88, Boba Fett, Dengar, 4-LOM, Durge, Zuckuss, Sugi, Cad Bane, Boushh, and Shahan Alama.

Kleef was made specifically for this picture, and Sugi I rebuilt cause her parts were just laying around

Other than that weird bat-guy from Shadows of The Empire (Furlag?) I'm not sure who else to add, if anyone. Maybe some of the guys from that weird Cube episode of Clone Wars.

Anyways,

Lemme know what you think!

Ppfff I dunno guys. I think someone said something about these a long while back. Either way they've been bopping about in my head ever since. I'll just blame Roman.

Bat Vader: Pray he doesn't alter the deal any further.

Batgar: Not even visible in the final film.

BT-88: Lowkey cheated on this one.

Batta Fett: My least favorite of these, though I like the antennae as bat ears.

Batssk: Made him into a bat-creature instead of a lizard-creature

4-BAT: Another fine use of that Thrasher head

Batckuss: Thank god for custom printing.

Let me know what you think. Cheers!

Well, besides Greedo anyways. Poor sod.

Did some mild updating here and there, boosted some of these guys up to my liking. The only really notable changes are that Dengar now has white hips, cause I feel like it balances better, and Boba's got red cuffs.

Then there's IG-88, the design for which I absolutely adore. The majority of the design is stolen from @talegophotography on Instagram, with some mild changes. I may post a tutorial on how to build him on my other page, but I figured it out by sight, so it's not that hard to do.

Everybody else has stayed the same cause they're pretty much perfect.

Backdrop is my computer screen, a la Jonathan.

I feel like Bossk is perpetually out of focus.

Man do I love these figs. Cheers folks!

Me and my shady eBay purchases. Heh.

Either way, guess I'll just have to shelve my otherwise perfect custom fig, because this one wins out by just a little bit. The use of the new dress piece is ideal for him. Although I would have thought his head would be made of that funky rubber. I'm not complaining though.

I do feel like he's weirdly missing something, but I tried a pack and a coat on him, both separately and together, and it either made him too tall or didn't look right. But ah well, I'm sure I'll get past it.

Either way, I'm glad to have finally gotten a full collection of scum. And remember kids, no disintegrations!

Comment !

To be continued ...

just a picture i took a few weeks ago with the OG trilogy bounty hunters, you can see Greedo getting shot in the back of you really care for him to be in this.

Maybe next month i plan on getting the UCS Slave I, i'm pretty excited to put it with my 2010-11 (can't remember what year) Slave I.

Also i'm hoping on getting to 300 followers by my 1 year anniversary on Flickr (late february)

Boba Fett: i thought the yellow epaulettes worked well for his yellow shoulder pads, this is the RoTJ version of him.

IG88: Lord Allo's design completely.

Trivia: If you can name all the characters in the picture off the top of your head, you're a proper Star Wars fan :)

Thanks for all the feedback and comments!

4-LOM, a reprogrammed protocol droid, one of the great bounty hunters during the times of the Galactic Civil War. As seen in

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

This figure is completely sculpted and painted by me,

to fit together, creating his weapon as it looks in the movie.

Bounty hunter 4-LOM uses various mechanical and droid assistance in his hunts, while Boba Fett relies entirely on his own skills and personal equipment.

In a town filled with villainy and scum, only the brave would dare to venture out at night. Lurking in the shadows and stalking the night, bounty hunters from across the galaxy would search for their ultimate prize. Unfortunately their number one most wanted has just given them the slip once more.

Are about to take up so much of my photostream.

Man I love the OT Bounty Hunters, they're probably my favorite Star Wars characters besides Fordo (and Hondo). Also I just acquired the new Bounty Hunter battle pack, so I wanted to do some comparing between the oldest renditions to the newest.

Some notes:

-4-LOM is bloody excellent.

-I kind of wish 2017 Dengar had leg printing, but there isn't really much you could print on to his legs. Also I'm not sure about the modern one's white-based torso. At least his face isn't just a standard smiley though. Heh.

-2017 IG-88's head seems just a little too tall, cumbersome and awkward to me, but the printing is nice, and I know some people dig it, which is fair. I may have found a damn good solution to a more accurate Iggy. More on him later.

-The Boba I'm using is the most recent rendition from the newest, 2017, Skiff Escape set (why do they keep making those?) and he's probably my favorite version so far besides the classic one, despite the lack of arm-printing. I could never quite get used to the medium-blue arms and legs they kept using for him, even if his outfit does kind of vaguely hint at that color in Empire.

-I honestly like the color of old Bossk's jumpsuit better, and wish the 2017 Bossk had dual-molded legs and arms in olive green (which is at least, a very nice color choice for his skin.)

-Already combined Greedos to make the ultimate one some ways back, go check him out. Also I swapped out the sand-green Rodian head and hands for a darker green on the 2014(15?) fig cause it's more accurate and looks nicer.

-Zuckuss is an update from my previous fig. His head and breathing tubes are the same, but I've given him a Hobbit torso, and the length of his coat is just a 2x1 plate on a 2x1 brick.

-Now i just need a 2016/17 Vader fig to point at them condescendingly.

-Also they come with a Speeder Bike, which is average. Nice shade of blue at least.

Anyways, i'm back from my mini-vacation, expect these bastards to be taking up my stream a lot the next couple of days.

Cheers!

I've had this guy hanging around for a while now. I think it's the closest we'll ever get to a perfect Zuckuss unless Lego makes their own finally. And after all the mucking about I've done to get this one they better not, frankly.

His head is one I've been using for a while now, a Galaxy Squad bug head painted and with a stud glued to it. His torso/legs are from Engineerio on eBay, who ironically used the same head, though with less appealing paint and no stud. The coat is cape madness, and he has a breather pack on his back made of a minifig oxygen mask and one of those tiles that makes up Catwoman's bike engine.

Everybody else is just my standby and/or official.

Cheers, gents!

During the construction of the second Death Star there was a lot of nervousness regarding security after several low-level breaches. The senior leadership decided to bolster security levels using mercenaries and bounty hunters – 4-LOM was asked to provide a quotation for a three-month secondment.

4-LOM was feeling weary after pursuing a couple of bounties (one unsuccessful) and thought that this was easy money – patrolling the parts of the Death Star which were complete but on the periphery of where construction was still underway. At times the days dragged but 4-LOM just focussed on the reward…

"Bounty hunters!?! We don't need their scum!"

Finally picked up Zuckuss and 4-LOM so now my vintage Bounty Hunters are complete.

At some point I'll start taking real pictures again. I think...
