A small wild cat found in the woody areas, forests and wetlands and places with dense vegetation. They are - I think - more common than we see them. Wikipedia says they are common across parts of Asia. The animals are quite active during the dusk, dawn and nights and rarely seen during daytime.
These animals are almost twice the size of a domestic cat and always sighted in the wild. They hunt rodents, quails, small ground birds, squirrels, reptiles and maybe smaller raptors as well. I have seen this cat many times, but this time, spent 45 minutes with it. It didn't mind our presence and let us get close, but the light was poor and I had difficulty holding the heavy lens for long at low shutter speed.
Many thanks in advance for your views and kind feedback.

A passage migrant to India that is seen for maybe a month and half during Sep/Oct. This roller migrates from Europe / Central Asia to Africa and the vast majority of birds cross the Mediterranean I believe and make way down South. But the ones from Central Asia / Iran / Pakistan, make their way to India, rest there for a short while, gather energy and then fly to Africa over the Arabian Sea flying a couple of days non-stop. Wikipedia notes a record of a European Roller in a plane hit over the Arabian Sea. The behaviour is similar to the Common Cuckoo which also has a similar migratory pattern.
I was trying to get a decent shot of the bird for over 3 years and finally was able to some fantastic shots. The bird was very cooperative and gave us a lot of time. It suddenly landed on this perch very close to us, and when it took off quickly, I missed most of the flight, but managed to grab a few 8K shots like this one.
Thanks for all your views and feedback - much appreciated.
A large majestic raptor commonly found around forest areas. This was sighted in the forest area near a temple - under the canopy getting drenched in the light rain that went on for several hours. The bird unlike other raptors that survey while flying, perches for long hours, sights a prey and waits for opportunity to dive and catch. This Hawk Eagle hunts for prey like small birds, snakes, monitor Lizards, quails, Chameleons, squirrels etc..
The bird sort of looked sheepish perched like that - the area had quite a bit of small bird activity that didn't seem to care for this raptor. After many hours, the rain was the lightest and all the birds needed food I suppose. The narrow forest road was bustling with bird activity in the light morning rain. I expected the Hawk Eagle to hunt, but it didn't - maybe it was waiting for the rain to subside.
Many thanks in advance for your views / comments. Much appreciated.

DE 2700 09 is a double imported locomotive. The first import was by NSB, Norways state railway. NSB ordered 1992 from MaK in Kiel 12 machines of the Di6 type for all traffic on non electrified railways. But machines and NSB didn't like each other, and the result was that all Di6 left Norway some years later. All 12? No! One loco was missing, because it burned down before.
The remaining 11 Di6 started an odyssey across parts of Europe for several locopools. After working for the german NOB in passenger services between Hamburg and Westerland the 09 came a second time to Norway for the new operator Cargolink. For Cargolink the Di6 hauled ore trains between Ørtfjell and Mo i Rana on Nordlandsbanen. An empty ore train is observed at Grønfjelldal between the stations of Skonseng and Ørtfjell.

Conrail 6162 and 6211 are just starting to load train UAH-4K on the Koppel Secondary in Koppel, PA on August 24, 1994. We heard this train get authority to operate on the secondary and since I had never caught a train loading here, I had to catch it. I'm glad we did. The crew was super friendly and invited my wife and I into the cab. We stayed long enough to watch them load a few cars, took some pics of us in the engineers seat, then took off to see what else we could catch in the area.
