I took this pic in the Botanic Garden in Munich on a special exhibition of butterflies.
Before there were Brownies, 35mm, digital SLRs, i-Phones, there were these.
Yesterday I went to the indoor farmers' market and wandered into the adjacent antiques area. I found this old studio camera for sale for $750 but decided I did not have room in the house for it. I love the wood and brass. As I was there someone wandering by remarked 'a camera taking a picture of a camera'.
I found this advertisement for this camera on line. It is said to be rather compact.
