#4 - Frame Within the Frame

Location: Drongen near Ghent in Belgium.

At first sight It might be a somewhat unusual project for me. I worked on it for two years. The first photo I took was a winter scene in 2021. I missed spring that year and had to wait till this spring to complete the series. Sometimes it takes time to see things.

Couple of weeks ago I saw on the interweb that someone made a Leica M9 skin for the iphone. So i thought to myself, "hey I'm ok at the photoshop!". So I went off and made my own. It came yesterday and I applied it and took a quick shot on my floor using the 85mm @ f2.2 + Natural Light.

Credit to joey_joey_joey who made the original one that inspired me.

Well, this is taking entirely too long. I got the area in between the engines greebled in a way I can actually be happy with. Turning the studs by 45 degrees posed an interesting challenge. I moved forward by 6 studs, but if I keep going at this pace, I'm looking at a SHIPuary entry;)

Oh well. At least I will have had fun.

Country of Origin: East-Russia (DRR)

Type: Armoured scout vehicle

Description:

The BRDM-4 was introduced shortly before the Russian civil war in 2017. It was in limited production in West-Russia after the conflict came to a cease-fire, but it's best known as the East-Russian Army's primary armoured scout vehicle. The BRDM-4 is based on the BRDM-2, but although visually similar, the new BRDM-4 is a considerably toughter vehicle. Modern armour and threat detection systems adds to the BRDM-4's survivability, full amphibious- and excellent cross country capabilities give it good mobility and the vehicle can be modified to a variety of different roles - the most common being the ATGM-version (shown).

Recognition features: Small integrated auxiliary lights low on the vehicle's front, array of optical sensors on the roof's forward section, large exhaust coolers, no side railings due to added armour.

My eldest daughter has a History exam today, and the subject is Russian history. No time to take a photo today, so I've dug out one of my many un-posted Helios Russian lens photos, and one of many of teapots, in sympathy!
