A warm September afternoon at Rowen finds a westbound BNSF intermodal train drifting down grade across the second crossing of Tehachapi Creek.
The colorful headend consist included: BNSF 4890, NS 9607, BNSF 250, and BNSF 898...none of which still fall under the employ of BNSF in 2025. C44-9W 4890 went to GECX before being rebuilt as NS AC44C6M 4867. SD75M 250 (ex-BNSF 8250, exx-ATSF 250) and C40-8W 898 (ex-ATSF 898) both went to lease service, PRLX and LTEX respectively.
