A brand new ES44AC leads the daily Directo Puebla-Tierra Blanca, a loaded Cemex cement train, with the help of 2 other ES44AC's tacked in the middle.
This train is one of the heaviest that make it's way down the Acultzingo District and usually always requires all engines to be in full Dynamic Brake plus the use of air to keep the speed controlled.

A 2 month old ES44AC leads a heavy Quimico Veracruz-Romo with 100+ cars in tow and 2 AC unit tacked in the middle.
This batch of 30 new ES44AC are being delivered from Wabtec's plant in Ft Worth just with primer applied on the carbody and the entire underframe black, as FXE needed them ASAP. The plans to paint them was supposed to be 2025 but for some reason FXE decided to speed up the painting process, with 90% of the 4850's and half of the 4860's already wearing the Zebra coat, hopefully I'll be able to snag some 4870's in primer grey before they get shopped.
It's great seeing FXE finally do a smart decision and buy more ES44's.

Rounding the corner at Belt Jct. in the background, northbound grain empty GMXKC11 is now headed east on UP's East Belt north of downtown. Just ahead, the train will turn onto the Beaumont Sub for the trip back to KCS rails in the subdivision's namesake.

The light's a little harsher in these, but I still like 'em.

Durham, 3 December 2022. The first fortress here was around 1072 but little remains from before 1340. Construction of the cathedral started in 1093 and most was completed within forty years, although there have been later additions and alterations. The castle was really a bishop's palace with some fortification, but despite this it was the only northern castle never to fall to the Scots; it is now part of Durham University.
A view of the main part of the cathedral from within the precincts. I think that is a sundial on the wall, but I was unable to find any information there, and a brief search on the net has not yielded anything.
