Week 16 van dit jaar werd er een studiereis georganiseerd, waar ik aan deelnam. Deze reis ging 6 daagjes naar Berlijn, waar naast de nodige foto's ook andere foto's werden gemaakt, aangezien ik de groepsfotograaf was. Hier post ik natuurlijk meestal de treinenfoto's. Daarom beginnen we nu direct maar met een van het meest kenmerkende spoorwegvervoer in Berlijn: de S-Bahn.

Op de foto is te zien dat we heerlijk weer hadden, en zo bleef het gelukkig de hele week. Deze foto is genomen op de tweede dag (maandag). Twee stellen van de baureihe 481 rijden als S5 naar Hoppergarten het bovengrondse station van Alexanderplatz binnen.

St. Luc-West Coast secondary train 481 usually arrived in great afternoon light in the Sudbury area and was often powered with a number of MLW's. I'd have given about anything if that lead -2 wasn't on the point of this train as it worked upgrade thru Levack. Power on Sept 6, 1991 is 5673, 4717, 1529, 4733, 4734 and 5743 and yes the sound was fantastic. 4717 had to be one of the better looking big MLW's on CP at the time but sadly it seriously caught fire on the D&H not to long after this picture and was one of the early M636's to be retired.
