Le Bell 47G est l’évolution du Model 30 auquel il emprunte sa barre stabilisatrice de rotor à masselottes et son rotor anticouple. Premier hélicoptère civil certifié, c’est avec l’US Army qu’il s’illustre en Corée. En France il est utilisé par l’Aviation légère de l’armée de terre et la Gendarmerie. L’exemplaire présenté est le N°714 (F-MBCV).

One of the air show highlights of the decade, "The Eagle Squadron" seen at the Duxford Spring Air Show 2013. A memorable formation of Hurricane, Sptifire, P-51C Mustang and P-47G Thunderbolt.
The birds must have taken a morning off cause there were very few to see, but kept getting buzzed by these whirlybird things. The top is C-GUET a Guimbal Cabri G2 owned by British Columbia Helicopters. The bottom is C-FISG a Bell 47G-2 owned by Chinook Helicopters. Photos taken at Willband Creek Park, Abbotsford, B.C.
