Blue hour in the sunrise in Tobermory

Found in the constellation Coma Berenices. Bright enough to show off diffraction spikes, the stars are in the foreground of the scene, well within our own Milky Way. But the three prominent galaxies lie far beyond our own, some 41 million light-years distant. The smaller distorted galaxy at left is the 159th entry in the Arp Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies, with extensive tidal tails indicative of strong gravitational interactions in its past. Its likely companion is the much larger NGC 4725 in the center. At first glance NGC 4725 appears to be a normal spiral galaxy, its central region dominated by the yellowish light of cool, older stars giving way to younger hot blue star clusters along dusty spiral outskirts. Still, it is unusual with only one main spiral arm. The other small galaxy at lower right is NGC 4712. Text from APOD

Sedge Warbler

Acrocephalus schoenobaenus

The Sedge Warbler is a small, quite plump warbler with a striking broad creamy stripe above its eye and greyish-brown legs. It's brown on top with blackish streaks and creamy white underneath. It's a summer visitor, and spends winters in Africa, south of the Sahara Desert. Its song is a noisy, rambling warble compared to the more rhythmic song of the Reed Warbler.

Found a cool Bar-B-Q place in Flora, MS. The food was super as was the small town. I will have to go back and visit the town in the near future.

A pair of galactic neighbours from the constellation Coma Berenices, NGC 4725 in the top right, is a large spiral galaxy, distinct in that it only has a single spiral arm.

NGC 4747 in the lower left, is being warped and dragged apart by the gravitational influence of it's larger companion, displaying plumes of stars and dust being torn away from it's centre.

18.5 hours of exposure time from January, February and March 2016, with an Altair Astro 6" RC and Atik 460ex. Captured in Sequence Generator Pro and processed in Pixinsight and CS5.

Seit Jahren verkehrt zwei mal die Woche der "MegaKombi"-KLV zwischen Alfarelos (PT) und Constantí (ES). Die von der DB-Cargo-Tochter Transfesa betriebene Leistung benötigt für diese Strecke quer über die iberische Halbinsel ca. 34 Stunden und ist im wesentlichen für die Logistiktochter der Möbelhauskette IKEA unterwegs. Hier mit dem noch das alte CP Carga Logo tragendem Eurosprinter 4725 unweit des Startbahnhofes als Internac 42807 Alfarelos - Vilar Formoso (+8) bei Luso.

For years the "MegaKombi"-KLV has been running twice a week between Alfarelos (PT) and Constantí (ES). The service operated by the DB Cargo subsidiary Transfesa takes approx. 34 hours for this route across the Iberian peninsula and is mainly used by the logistics subsidiary of the furniture chain IKEA. Here with the Eurosprinter 4725, still bearing the old CP Carga logo, not far from the starting station as Internac 42807 Alfarelos - Vilar Formoso (+8) near Luso.
