Here's what happens in Spring when male and female American Avocets get together. It's quite a beautiful ritual - she tells him she's ready, and he goes through a bunch of moves before he hops on, finished off with a loving cross of those upturned beaks.
It was dark and drizzling on this early morning. I couldn't even tell where the light source was actually coming from. So, you might note the ridiculous ISO here: 4000. I actually used a combination of Lightroom's noise slider and the Topaz add-on Denoise AI on this image.

4723 („CP Carga“) und 4701 ("Medway") fuhren am 16.12.2018 mit einem Kohlezug als 50951 Poceirão - Central Pego (+15) entlang des Tajo bei Tancos ihrem nicht mehr weit entfernten Ziel entgegen. Der hintere Eurosprinter trägt dabei schon die neue Medway-Farbgebung, welche sich immer weiter bei den Ex-CP Carga-Loks ausweitet.
4723 ("CP Carga") and 4701 ("Medway") drove on 16.12.2018 with a coal train as 50951 Poceirão - Central Pego (+15) along the Tajo near Tancos towards their not more distant destination. The rear Eurosprinter is already wearing the new Medway colour scheme, which is expanding further and further with the ex-CP Carga locomotives.

Mehrmals montags bis freitags pendelt Medway mit einem Stahlzug aus dem Stahlwerk Siderurgia Nacional in Seixal nach Setúbal-Mar. Mit dem Zug werden Drahtrollen und hin und wieder Brammen in den Hafen Setúbal für den Export gebracht. Die letzten Meter zwischen dem Hafenbahnhof und dem Terminal rangiert den Zug eine Medway-Diesellok der Reihe 1400. Kurz vor dem Erreichen des Hafens durchfährt Medway 4723 mit dem Zug 52800 Triagem Siderurgia Nacional - Setúbal-Mar am Morgen des 22.01.2024 einen kurzen Tunnel.
Several times on working days Medway run shuttle trains between the Siderurgia Nacional steelwork at Seixal and the harbor Setúbal-Mar with wire rolls and other steel products for export. The last way between Setúbal-Mar and the harbor terminal were shunted by diesel locos 1400. Just before arriving Setúbal-Mar Medway loco 4723 is passing a short tunnel with train 52800 Triagem Siderurgia Nacional - Setúbal-Mar at January 22, 2024.
