I checked out bryanvillarin's photostream and he had a link to The Brenizer Effect .. which i thought was an AWESOME technique.

i gave it a shot (or about 25 shots) during my starbucks run on this raining Christmas day in LA

fyi, tech specs - 25 RAW shots, merged/stitched in Photoshop to create this panorama, then did some additional blurs to increase the bokeh.. this was taken with my 50mm on f/1.8
