Riders on Ditchling Beacon. Over 27,000 people took part in Europe’s largest cycle event today - the British Heart Foundation’s London to Brighton Bike Ride. The Ride covers a 54 mile course leaving Clapham Common in London to Brighton seafront – this includes scaling Ditchling Beacon, the third-highest point on the South Downs. This year the BHF aims to raise £4.5 million to help continue its lifesaving work and fight the UK’s biggest killer. bhf.org.uk/l2b
