Photographier, c’est dire et éprouver le plaisir d’être en vie, et de transmettre ce désir à son tour, pour celui qui regarde les photos.

Barn owl - Tyto alba - taken on a day out with Eden Falconry, Essex. A terrific day with friendly, knowledgeable owners/handlers and a great site at Cressingham Barns, Witham. Can't wait to see them again.

The barn is challenging - iso 8000 and even the new 5D struggles at that level.

ROSY

I posted this a couple years back in a color version. I think the B&W works better.

The same stretch of metal decorative panels as the previous one: www.flickr.com/photos/tengtan/3591118419/ but at the uniformly vertical end.

Taken with the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.

I seem to be going through a blue period although I'm no Picasso. :)

I realize all these shorebirds are getting a bit boring, just a few more and I'll get onto something new. I hear the north woods calling out😎....

I found tracking shorebirds right into landing to be the most difficult as they would often change direction at the last moment. In addition they most often came in to shore in flocks of 10 to 20 birds, picking out the best subject was often a crap shoot.
