Preserved Jubilee Class Steam Locomotive 45596 'Bahamas', shot approaching Hartford at speed.
The Locomotive was on a positioning Journey, with just it's support coach in tow,
Built in 1935, and withdrawn from service in 1966, it's currently registered for Main Line operations in 2019.
Stunning watching an locomotive working at speed, I think this particular class of locomotive is atheistically perfect, some fantastic thing :)

LMS Jubilee Class 5596 Bahamas is a preserved British steam locomotive.
45596 Bahamas was built in 1934 by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow for the London Midland & Scottish Railway. 45596 was designed by Sir William Stanier and entered service in 1935. 45596 is the only 'double chimney' Jubilee locomotive after being fitted with it in 1961 as part of a trial. This trial was the final attempt by British Railways to improve the performance of its steam fleet.
In 1967, Bahamas was purchased from British Railways for preservation by the Bahamas Locomotive Society. After this, it was sent to the Hunslet Engine Company in Leeds after which it appeared in March 1978 carrying LMS crimson lake livery as No. 5596. Its latest overhaul (2013-2019) at Tyseley Locomotive Works was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Bahamas ran again in 2019 on the main line for the first time for 25 years. As No. 45596, it now runs in BR green livery.

It was great to see the railway busy during the 2024 Autumn Gala. During the short time I spent at Bridgnorth inbound and outbound trains were pretty much full.

Passing the gallery of photographers at Crofton, on the Berks & Hants line, Bahamas heads the 'Cathedrals Express' rail tour from London Paddington-Salisbury on a baking hot summers day.
With temperatures nearing 30 degrees, there was little chance of any exhaust, leaving the scene a little lifeless, but the loco looked and sounded superb, with a load 10 and no diesel support.
