Wederom kwam de zelfde dubbele Thalys voor de lens, nu in Duivendrecht, leeg vanuit Watergraafsmeer naar Schiphol.

hier an der Blüte des Stink-Storchschnabels, Geranium robertianum. Diese Schwebfliege fällt sofort mit ihrem kuriosen Mundwerkzeug auf. Sie ist, wie auch die Blüte, recht klein.

We pulled through Plattsmouth as school was getting out and got stuck behind busses and slow orders through school zones but we somehow beat the train to Cedar Creek with all kinds of time to spare. They are running around the LINLIN here. We will see more of them later.
A KCS gray ghost lead a tanker train up the Joe this morning and across the Creston Sub in the Afternoon. Here they are crossing into Nebraska at Plattsmouth.
Apparently the toll bridge collector has decided that she is the ultimate defender of railroad property and she was not going to stand for hooligans trespassing. Good thing there's another (and easier) way to get in the cut.

SNG stel 2715 steekt als trein 6948 naar Utrecht - Den Haag het Inundatiekanaal over.
Vreemd genoeg zijn net als vorige weekeinde in SLT omloop 2 diensten met ander materieel, was het vorige weekeinde SGM, vandaag SNG!.
Het zeer fraaie herfstzonnetje nodigde uit om SNG inzet fotografisch vast te leggen en gekozen werd de brug over het Inundatiekanaal...herkenbaar voor Tiel en omgeving :-).
Daarnaast maakt het Inundatiekanaal deel uit van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie welke dit jaar (2021) toegevoegd is aan de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst.
Zo is Tiel een beetje bekend geworden in de wereld :-)
Duidelijk is te zien dat de brug aangelegd is voor dubbelspoor echter zal dat eventueel in de toekomst moeilijker zijn omdat verder het station Passewaaij aangelegd is op de ruimte van `t eventueel geplande 2e spoor.

Een uurtje later was het de beurt aan de volgende Thalys vanuit Amsterdam.
Hiervoor trok ik naar een punt in de buurt van de Frans Raatstraat, waar ik samen met Wouter, neef Kristof en Mattias Catry in 2012 al eens een (toen nog reguliere) Beneluxtrein had vastgelegd.
Toendertijd hadden we op het nippertje een IC van Essen naar Charleroi gemist. Nu kwam ik er net één minuut te laat toe om de (omgeleide) Beneluxtrein te kunnen fotograferen...
Het zou het laatste bruikbare beeld van deze zondag worden. De Volvo liet zich niet zien en het volgende puntje dat ik aanstuurde was niet zo fotogeniek door aangeplante maïs.
Maar hé de voorspelde bewolking was veel langer weggebleven dan oorsprobkelijk verwacht en ik had hierdoor nog een een pak vitamine D opgedaan ;-)
