Na de passage van de Thalys richting Duitsland, reed ik dan verder naar het punt dat ik had uitgekozen ter verkenning.
De meesten kennen ongetwijfeld het puntje in Marcq waarbij een oud fabrieksgebouw wordt gebruikt als fraaie achtergrond voor de voorbijflitsende treinen. Nou ik vroeg me al een tijdje af of je dit fabrieksgebouw ook niet uit de andere richting kunt gebruiken als coulisse.
Het antwoord is volmondig ja, al zou het nog iets beter zijn vroeger op de ochtend (komt wel nog, dan zal ik ook wat dichterbij gaan staan). Gisteren koos ik voor een standpunt in de buurt van de brug van de Kruisjesstraat / Rue des Croisettes. Voor de Thalys richting Amsterdam die dra zou verschijnen, koos ik ervoor om het talud te beklimmen parallel aan de hogesnelheidslijn. Mooi zicht heb je hier op de voorbijsnellende treinen, zoals deze met twee PBA-treinstellen in de huidige kleurstelling al mag het voorste stel wel eens door de wasstraat :-)
Oh ja, mocht iemand het nummer van het tweede stel kennen, dan mag je het gerust toevoegen in de comments.

After having photographed the Thalys to Germany, it was time for the one in direction of the Netherlands.
For this train I moved to a point that I had on my 'to explore"-list. Perhaps you are familiar with the location in Marcq, where one can get trains on the high speed line on photo together with an old industrial buitding (nowadays lofts) in the background.
I wondered if this building would be suitable for trains in the other direction and yes indeed it is ;-)
If someone knows the number of the second EMU, please feel free to add it in the comments.

A pair of Chicago North Western "Torpedo Boat" GP-9R's, #4532 in Zito Yellow and #4533 in the traditional scheme highball Eastbound near Lusk, WY with a 7 car "Cowboy Local" in May of 1989.
They are on the stretch of track between Shawnee and Van Tassell that was upgraded to accommodate the Powder River coal trains.
De dag begon in het rood, en eindigde er ook mee.
Geplande werkzaamheden aan de HSL noord leverde een omleiding van Thalys 9369 Parijs-Amsterdam via de klassieke lijn.
In de avondzon bij station Delft Campus rijden stellen 4301+4532 langs de drie fotografen .
Maar als je goed oplet, zie je in de berm pakketjes liggen.
Die zijn van Prorail, U weet wel van die groene hekwerk...

Thalys 4532 reed vanwege werkzaamheden bij Rotterdan CS via Breda, Tilburg, Den Bosch, Utrecht naar Amsterdam.
