Mallard duck, Anas platyrhynchos, up close. I think this one is used to getting handouts from humans visiting his pond in southeast Austin. This one took a moment away from courting a white domestic duck to see if I had any food. Mallards, by the way, are the ancestors of most kinds of domestic ducks.
I rarely take photos of gulls, but this one had some behaviour worth it. Not even sure what type it is.
After a long winter, my Backyard Feathered Friends are finally coming back to our yard.
So far we have had Robins, Finches, Grackles, Doves, Sparrows and a Junco.
I hope to capture a few!

As you can probabally tell, I gave up on Flickr for a while, for a couple of reasons, one of which being that i prefer the frontend of my current photoblog, and felt that I didn't really fit in here any more.
However, I've shifted my mindset from Flickr being something serious to something that is a bit of a laugh, and I feel that I can start uploading on here again. Also, I have divorced myself from the 'orangeacid' persona, so I don't mind carrying on here what I was doing before. If that makes sense.
