The Russian Orthodox cathedral (Blagoveshchensky sobor) in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.
The Church of the Annunciation is directly inspired by the most important church in Moscow’s Kremlin with the same name. It is a five-cupola church built as a Greek cross.
Building of the church began in 1993 and it was completed in 1999. The cathedral is typical of Russian Orthodox church-architecture.

An unusually obliging heron was the one I saw a few weeks ago. Normally these birds are gone before I can raise my camera.
So what a surprise to meet this amazing bird who wasn't in the least fazed by mine or anyone else's presence.
