Weak Wintery Sun.

A friend gave me some poppy seedlings which I planted out in a large pot. They didn't do a great deal for quite some time until I moved the whole pot into a very sunny spot at the southern edge of the lawn - bingo! We have had flowers now for some three weeks - perfect timing for Remembrance Day.

The yard office at Chamberlain looks a lot more active these days.

A Coatzacoalcos bound manifest train continues it's journey after receiving a fresh crew at the Orizaba yard.

Dakota Southern 4427 holds down a spot in the yard in Chamberlain, South Dakota, now a fallen flag railroad with the takeover by Ringneck & Western (Watco). It was nice to visit and see this well-known and obscure railroad community. The remaining pieces of Dakota Southern are being sold or scrapped. Watco wants it all removed as soon as possible.
