I woke up this morning thinking I was going to have a full day of chasing the Super Bowl train. Turns out I did, but through two counties instead of two states. An incredible cluster at Bellevue ensured that an 11:00 departure didn't get out of the metro until 3:30.

CP 4404; the only active "dual flag" painted GP38-2 on the roster is on point of H11-16 as they prepare to shove back into the yard after working the International Wax factory as well as the transload facility in the former Expressway intermodal yard. As recently as about 5 years ago, you could sit in this spot for an evening and you'd likely find the seemingly-daily transfer to Lambton Yard, dubbed "The Lambton Lifter" departing with similar power to this, headlights fully illuminated and white/blue smoke billowing out the EMDs as they notched up after the tail end cleared the yard. Since then, transfer runs have become few and far between, with maybe a run or two happening at random every couple months with no way to predict it. So nowadays you've gotta play pretend with locals like these, which don't even travel a full mile outside yard limits.

Another from yesterday's chase. I actually managed to get all 29 cars in frame on this straightaway. The only place I was able to and the last shot I was able to get before the sun ducked below the horizon.

This engineering special left at the perfect time to cross the Platte without the shadows of the BNSF bridge on the tracks. Bound for Herrington, KS, this was an occupied train, and it made great time against the flow of traffic towards KC.
