MÀV 431 246 staat gereed langs het perron van Budapest Keleti Pu op 17 juli 2019 met bestemming Pécs.
Deze elocserie met de toepasselijke bijnaam ‘Papagaj’ vertegenwoordigt een grote locomotiefserie die in de jaren ‘60 van de vorige eeuw is ontwikkeld door een consortium van o.a. Siemens, Alst(h)om, Brown-Boveri en Oerlikon. Hoewel de serie anno 2019 langzaamaan wordt vervangen door de nieuwe serie Bombardier TRAXX locs van de serie 480, is dit nog steeds het belangrijkste werkpaard van de MÀV.

every spring we are treated to the arrival of our fabulous Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the SNOWBIRDS are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team whose purpose is to demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel . . . for two weeks they practice maneuvers before taking the "show on the road" . . . which means we are treated to these practice runs!! Spring is definitely in the air! 😍
