A MÁV TIVc 4296-os (később 40,006-os) pályaszámú, Abt-rendszerű fogaskerekű lokomotívja Tiszolcról (Tisovec, Szlovákia) Fenyvesre (Zbojská) közlekedő nosztalgiavonattal 2015. szeptember 19-én kevéssel a végállomása előtt.
Abt rack-adhesion steam locomotive no. 4296 (ex class TIVc the MÁV, later 40,006 the CFR) with a special passenger train from Tiszolc (Tisovec, Slovakia) to Fenyves (Zbojská) before the final stop in 19. september 2015.

The Peony is a lovely flower for a few days so I was happy to get this just before it isn't so lovely.

Bald Eagle fledgling seen from Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. (the nest is just under the crown of a tree in the Golf Course which you can see from the parking lot, near the north end of the log, looking west). According to another photographer, who seems to spend a lot of time there, in the very high heat 28 June (the monday after the two even higher temp days) both chicks jumped (or, he thinks possibly, were pushed by parents?) out of the nest due to them baking up there. One of them was wounded in the fall - while it was turned over to Portland Audubon where there was a successful surgery, the trauma of being captured etc. on top of that, well it didn't make it. But this one ended up in the water without injury. It didn't fly successfully for 17 days, and its parents fed it regularly and kept an eye out. Apparently it finally fledged enough to reliably fly up to the nest again (that's a very tall tree) but it still is expecting to be fed. During the bit over an hour that I was there, you could hear it very loudly from quite the distance away.
