Out of my way!

Chessie Cat 4255 leads RS-97 at Sheffer Road in Wheatland, NY on March 9, 1983. In 1983 the economy was poor, but Chessie still ran the RS97 & SR94 six days a week, but usually with only one unit as the train length was small. I was laid off and on unemployment at the time and did not really have the ability to afford train chasing. I managed only a handful of railfanning trips in 1983, until early 1984, when I got called back to work.
