Neben den beiden lokbespannten Garnituren der WEE ist auch DB Regio mit einem 425 im Ersatzverkehr auf der Riesbahn tätig. 425 052 war am 28.03.2023 als RB 57659 von Aalen nach Donauwörth unterwegs und wurde am Evsig Möttingen verewigt.
Mit dem verspäteten Centrum/Essers KLV war 186 425 am 1.9. nach Passau unterwegs und konnte bei Langenisarhofen abgelichtet werden.
