LA&L 425 & 420 are Southbound with 16 cars in evening golden light at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on July 24, 2020.
I had not photographed a train since November 12, 2021. I went out to catch the LA&L on February 18, 2022. They had an early crew start so I had to go with the Southbound run from the RSR Brooks Yard to Lakeville, since I worked in the morning. That is a bonus for me, as I don't normally get to chase the train going South. I always wanted this shot of a Southbound moving through the ess curves at Pole Bridge Road in Avon, NY. LA&L 425 - 428 - 433 have 38 cars in tow near the end of a good day and chase.
425 Lexington Avenue's flared crown and unusually tinted glass is a wild contrast to the Art Deco icon next door, the Chrysler Building.
Something I could never do with film was shoot moving trains in the dark. The LA&L road train led by 425 - 433 - 420 and 24 cars is moving along after sunset at Golah Road in Rush, NY on the evening of October 22, 2020.
