218 und Formsignale, das passt einfach immer. Für die RE 2 Leistungen zwischen Regensburg und Hof bietet sich insbesondere der Bahnhof Nabburg an, unter Eisenbahnfreunden schon lang ein Klassiker. Der noch unmodernisierte Bahnhof lässt zahlreiche Variationsmöglichkeiten für alle Tageszeiten zu. Am 21.09.2024 setzte ich die südliche Ausfahrt um, 218 424 kam mit RE 4861 nach München passend vorbei.

A MÁV Rail Tours Kft. 424 009 pályaszámú gőzmozdonya zakatol Ócsa előtt. Angol vasútbarátok tettek egy Budapest-Cegléd-Kecskemét-Lajosmizse-Budapest körutazást a szerelvénnyel.

Wegen Bauarbeiten zwischen Regensburg und Schwandorf verkehrten mehrere Wochen Überführungsfahrten mit Doppelstockwagen zum Werk Schwandorf. Der Laufweg dieser nur bei Bedarf und somit ziemlich unregelmäßig verkehrenden Fahrt führte dabei über Nürnberg. Damit konnte auf der Strecke von Nürnberg über Neukirchen nach Schwandorf auch mal die Baureihe 218 angetroffen werden. 218 424 durchfährt am 07.08.2025 mit Lr 71252 (Schwandorf - Regensburg) den Haltepunkt Etzelwang.
Due to construction work between Regensburg and Schwandorf, transfer trips with double-decker carriages to the Schwandorf depot were operated for several weeks. These trips, which only ran on demand and thus were quite irregular, ran via Nuremberg. This meant that the Class 218 could occasionally be encountered on the route from Nuremberg via Neukirchen to Schwandorf. 218 424 passes through the Etzelwang stop on August 7, 2025, with Lr 71252 (Schwandorf - Regensburg).
Seit Fahrplanwechsel leider Geschichte sind die Einsätze der Baureihe 218 von DB Regio Kempten auf der König-Ludwig-Bahn. Im Sommer war die Welt im Ostallgäu noch in Ordnung und wir konnten 218 424 mit bestem TB11 Sound mit RE 57510 (München Hbf > Füssen) zwischen Seeg und Weizern-Hopferau fotografieren.

Erstmalig im RE2 umlauf ist seit einigen Tagen die Kemptner 218 424. Nachdem sie gestern eigentlich den RE2 umlauf verlassen sollte, ärgerte ich mich bereits, da ich es nicht geschafft hatte, die Lok festzuhalten. Glück im Unglück: 218 430 blieb in Schwandorf liegen, sodass die 218 424 erneut einspringen musste. Somit konnte ich sie heute mit RE-D 4859 bei Martinlamitz festhalten.
LA&L 424 and 425 lead the morning train North by the station in Avon, NY on May 26, 2000. In spite of all the clouds I seemed to have got this train in full sun at all the usual locations between Lakeville and West Rush. There was a huge pile of ballast in Avon at the time, and I was standing on top of it to get this angle.
