After having shoved eight loaded covered hoppers into a yard track to the right, AEX S6 #41, doubles up two cuts of four cars, to take eight more back to the elevator to load, as the old Alco smokes it up.
Slept for less than three hours last night. Slept the whole entire flight. Arrived in Singapore at around 1PM this afternoon. Wish I got something but I took all with the S95, will try to get something tomorrow.
Missing Lola SO much already, hurts being away from her...
First thing we did after getting off the plane was eating our national fruit, the durian! Got a snapshot of that on my iPhone. Anyone love it too?
The Hallway Again

Ah yes, we've reached the point in training where my camera did not leave the house. Nor did I, unless it was to run or go to work. This photo was taken after another wretched long run, the last of my 18-milers. This time the IT band started throbbing at mile 8, and I knew I was screwed. Hobble hobble run run hobble run hobble. Cry, worry, tears. Hobble run hobble.
Earlier that week I had started physical therapy, which is fun because you get to do awful things like 30 lunges and 30 wall squats and 30 hip strengtheners. Then you get to go to sports massage so they can put bruises all over your legs. That's fun because you can tell people someone threw you down the stairs because that is exactly what you look like.
And this is why we love running!

Unlike the frontline units, 41 Sqn had managed to maintain sqn markings on most of it's aircraft, but ominously this aircraft, which also carries the Wing Commanders pendant on the nose, is also unmarked.

A shot that spans two ages for me, when i started taking this i was aged 40 and when i turned the camera off i was 41.
Must thank Dan Whitaker for pointing it out, singing me happy birthday in the dark and giving me the idea for the title as well as having the patience to stand still with a torch on his head and a gas mask numerous times.
Taken on a meet up with Dan last night at Waverley Abbey.
