He let me up close with my kayak only I didn't have my longer lens so I kayaked all the way back to get it, only to show up so he could take off. My arms were like rubber, but this will teach me to bring all my equipment. Sometimes I prefer to kayak light in case I capsize. Whitecaps can develop unpredictably.
