I really like this one. It came about because I had got to half 10 at night without having taken my picture. I had been away with work and although I'd had a couple of ideas for a photo the time just never seemed right to go and take one, so I got home late and had to scrape around for ideas. Turns out there's advantages to bits of bikes lying around...
The 11,249 ft (3,429 m) tall Mount Hood as seen from the rest area along Washington State Highway 14 about 6 miles east of the intersection with U.S. Highway 197. The tip of the impressive mountain is about 40 miles to the southwest from this point.
