Ayer se celebró el 40° aniversario de la puesta en funcionamiento del Tren de la Fresa, con dicho motivo la máquina titular fue la 319.319 pintada con la nueva decoración del tren turístico Al-Andalus y fueron agregados a la composición habitual 5 coches más, dejando una memorable composición de 10 coches (ZZ-1102 + R12-12952 + R12-12955 + R12-12953 + R12-12951 + CC-2435 + CC-2375 + CCR-2439 + CCR-2470 + BB-5045 + DV-340.115 + J-401.331).
En la foto, la composición realiza el último viaje del día entre Aranjuez y el Museo del Ferrocarril de Delicias.
This service was a regular class 40 service, and was followed about half an hour later by the Great Yarmouth train which was also a regular class 40 turn. Catching the first one from Sheffield as far as Worksop would then allow you to catch the next one as far as Retford, before returning to Sheffield. Two class 40 haulages in one day was a treat in 1984, as most of the class 40s had gone a year later.
Perfect Saturday afternoon: zombies and coffee. Started to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Quite amusing! I'm also excited that Warm Bodies is coming to the cinema. Read the book, it was awesome!
