A pair of SD70ACe's lead the Intermodal Mexico-Manzanillo as they pass by the siding at the KM I-192.
The leader probably smelled like a porta-potty hence the front door fully opened, typical of the ACe's.

I wish I could tell you all the different breeds of birds that my friend John told me their names, but 71 years leaves me a little difficent.

I'm not totally happy with this shot, I think maybe the lighting is a little flat. You be the judge.
Backstory:
I saw this leaf as I was heading to my car after work. I picked it up and took it home with this idea in mind. Large glass dish with a sheet of black fabric and some pebbles I got from the beach ages ago. Add water and a leaf and try to make it work.
Strobist:
2 SB-24s@full power in shoot thru umbrella high and above one left one right. 1 SB-24@1/4 power camera left set to rake across the leaf for more dimension. A CPL filter was used to reduce any reflections from the strobes hence the reason for the high settings.
Post processing:
LAB colour adjustment, vignette applied and tonal contrasting.
LSM:
Lessons from Light - Science & Magic were to carefully move the lights outside the family of angles to reduce reflections as well as using the CPL to reduce reflections in the water. The raking light from the left to give more definition as LSM recommends for documents or other flat subjects.

All eye's on me.
Last weekend I drove to a remote waterfall in the centre of Taiwan, I was setting up my camera and I spotted this guy, he was very interested in what I was up too, as everywhere I moved my set up too he ran to a nearby rock or bush and just sat there watching me. Which gave me the perfect chance to capture these images.
