Having seen plenty of pictures from a few on various websites, of these new buses. I managed a trip over to Manchester for a catch-up on the latest buses out and about.
It comes as no surprise that Stagecoach has taken delivery of its first new look ADL E400MMCs. Here 40402, my first of the type today, turns into Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station.
Today (30-12-14) 40401-6, 40408-9 were all on 85/86 diagrams for the day to Chorlton-Piccadilly.
Stagecoach Ribble Mercedes Benz 709D-Alexander Sprint step entrance mini bus departs from Preston bus station with a 135. This vehicle was new to Stagecoach Ribble, as fleet number 660, in May 1996.
Walking down St Georges Lane, a back route, and a public footpath. It runs through farmers’ fields connecting Lincoln with Riseholme, in West Lindsey, Lincolnshire.

Note, 43166 was built by British Rail Engineering Limited at Crewe works in 1981, a power car for British Railways’ Inter City 125 high speed train diesel-multiple unit 253042. It was classified as a class 43 locomotive in 1988 and passed to Angel Train Contracts Limited on 1st April 1994 as part of the privatisation of British Railways, Angel Train Contracts Limited being renamed as Angel Trains Limited on 16th May 2000. 43166 was on lease to CrossCountry Trains Limited

KJM WDP-4D #40401 led 56965 Kulem - Vasco Passenger enters Madgaon Junction as I got ready for my last train ride of the year 2017, from Madgaon to Vasco.

Family history records that this was taken circa 1911. It shows cousins James B Rochester and Arthur B Temple.
(L) James Bowmaker Rochester was my Great Grand Aunt's husband. He was born 16th Mar 1892
in Hartlepool, Durham and was the son of Joshua Rochester (1857-1931) and Mary Ann Jolly Carr (1861-1907).
In 1901 they were living at 4 Storey's Passage, Hartlepool. His father was a Railway Porter and he had 4 siblings aged between 10yrs and 1 month.
Aged 19 in 1911 he was a Sailor living at 7 Hutton Street Central Estate Hartlepool. His father was widowed in 1907 and he had five of his children still living at home, including James. The family occupied 4 rooms (the houses no longer stand but presumably a 2-up, 2-down).
He qualified as Second Mate aboard foreign going steamships in the Merchant Service on 30th Jun 1917 aged 25. Certificate Number: 0.010.941
(R) My Great Grand Uncle Arthur Bateman Temple Private 5157 & S/40401 Royal Highlanders
He was born in 1893 in Blackwell, Darlington, Durham and was the son of Coachman, John Temple (1862-1912) and Ellen Ann Rochester (1859-1942).
In 1911 aged 17 he was working as a Packer's Assistant: School Furnishing Works and living at 96 Bedford Street, Darlington. maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&sugexp=les;&cp=28&... He was still resident at this address when he died (coincidentally on the day I was born).

Older Wolverhampton Fleetline resident 4041 is seen still in service at Park Lane Garage seen in the yard resting along with newer examples 6691-6617.

Me perdoem pela foto horrível! Vou explicar.
Fiz essa nail fofinha na sexta a noite e como meu fim de semana foi muito corrido, só consegui tirar fotos ontem :/ (antes de ir pro jogo do mengão né?! Uma pena o segundo tempo ter sido pouco empolgante e o juíz ter avacalhado ¬¬)
Meu irmão tirou essa sem compromisso e com pressa e foi minha sorte. Agora fui ver e TODAS mostram como minhas cutículas estavam precisando de um creminho.
Esse esmalte é ralo, chato. Na primeira camada da um desespero incontrolável, mas continuei firme e forte. Quero usá-lo sozinho ainda! Me "inspirei" nessa foto que vi na página do Le vernis no facebook. Ficou uma porcaria por causa da pressa, e a mão direita ficou melhor! Mas não sei tirar foto dessa mão mimimimimi
