Am 09 Juli führte die durch SBBCI gemietete 189 993 den Zug 40014 von Brescia bis nach Rotterdam. Bei der Durchfahrt in Villnachern konnte die Fuhre aufgenommen werden.
A rework of an image from 47 years ago captures a pair of Derby-built 2-car class 108 units rolling in to Liverpool Lime Street station.
The coach nearest the camera is Driving Trailer M56493. Built in 1960 it's part of Allerton allocated set AN278, and my research suggests it's probably partnered with Motor Brake Second M51913.
I was on a London Midland Region Rover Ticket at the time and my travel itinerary that day (together with a few of the more interesting sightings) was..................

Still in my late teens and relatively impoverished (I was paid a retainer of just over £16 per week, before deductions, for the 6 months of the year I attended the workplace) it was a real pity I couldn't afford more film. Looking back, this DMU was fortunate to get snapped at all!
For music lovers (or not), the UK Number One Single that week was ‘When Will I See You Again’ by The Three Degrees.

Die mittlerweile an Beacon Rail übergegangene 193 993 fährt auch heute noch im alten Farbkleid der Siemens Dispolok, wobei zwischenzeitlich die MRCE Logos durch jene der Beacon Rail ersetzt wurden und ein zusätzlicher gelber Streifen am Lokkasten angebracht wurde. Am 9 Juli 2023 bespannte die 193 993 noch mit MRCE Anschriften den UKV-Güter 40014 von Brescia bis nach Rotterdam. Der Zug von SBB Cargo International welcher fast ausschliesslich mit CLdN-Cargo beladen ist, konnte abends bei Kleinkems aufgenommen werden.

Note the bolts where the nameplate used to be with Antonia painted in place.
D213 & D345 are seen departing Plymouth on the rear of the ECS to Laira after arriving with a railtour from Preston

No date for this one, I haven't been there for around 35 years but my initial thought was this is Guide Bridge. Pre tops and Class 40 has lost the D prefix and nameplate so probably early 70's, certainly looks a long ballast train.
The loco was new to Willesden in June 1959 and later named Antonia. A Longsight loco from the late 60's onwards she was withdrawn in November1981 and cut up at Swindon two years later.

Anyone who photographed at Guide Bridge Station at this time will say what a busy spot it could be I alway's enjoyed my visits here plenty to photograph and a good station to photograph at with Class 76;s and Class 40's to the fore above is 76052 making it;s way onto the stabling point loco's seen on this visit were 40003/14/113/127/128/135/177. 76010/12/36/38/40/49/50/52. 47196/204/359. 25089/105/148/198. 24141. a good day out KC. 86229 Birmingham to Manchester 86037 back. 27/07/1976.

Formerly named ANTONIA but with white painted lettering added long after the nameplates were removed comes to rest on platform 12 with 1J39 1652 Bangor to Manchester Victoria service.
The loco would work to Skegness and back the following day but her time was now limited and was placed 'On Decision' by the end of October, only to be officially withdrawn from traffic in November.

In a scene very definitely from another era 76009 and 76015 are seen at Guide Bridge station on January 7th 1891. Sneaking into the picture is 40014 which is hauling a ballast train. The 76s are running to the stabling point.
