232 673-4 hatte am 23.04.22 die Aufgabe einen Sonderzug von Leipzig nach Coswig zu traktionieren. Bei Gera-Langenberg kam sie an nur 4 Fotofreunden vorbeigefahren. Die große Meute der Fotografen hatte sich in Caaschwitz positioniert.

Bügelmessschraube, hergestellt von meinem Urgrossvater, wohl um 1900. (Die Skalentrommel hat an der Öffnungsseite einen Aussendurchmesser von 12mm; Das ergibt einen Abstand der Teilstriche von 0.38mm – ohne Lupe selbst bei guten Lichtverhältnissen eine Herausforderung.)
Der Bildausschnitt ist fast identisch zu diesem Bild, flic.kr/p/2iZimTy, sie unterscheiden sich aber hinsichtlich Beleuchtung und Bearbeitung.

Outside micrometer, made by my great-grandfather, probably around 1900 (The scale drum has an outer diameter of 12mm on the opening side; this gives a distance between the graduation lines of 0.38mm - without magnifying glass a challenge even in good light conditions.)
The framing is almost identical to this picture, flic.kr/p/2iZimTy, but they differ in lighting and editing.
