Hace unas semanas Bego subió una foto de una Queimada (que no quiso prender) en la que recitaba un conjuro donde se invocaba a las fuerzas de la naturaleza, aire, tierra, mar y fuego. Desde entonces que me rondaba la idea de representar los cuatro elementos y Celeste con su reto me brindó la oportunidad. Gracias a las dos, chicas!

Happy Fourth of July

I was four miles away on a hilltop watching the lightshow from the neighborhoods and then the stadium lights shut off. It was awesome to see from so far away.

It was breezy and my tripod was too lite.

Das „Haus zu den vier Jahreszeiten“, ein denkmalgeschütztes Bürgerhaus am Körnermarkt 4 (hier die Vorderfassade), ist ein Doppelgiebelhaus mit einem Kern aus dem 16./17. Jahrhundert, das um 1765 im Rokokostil umgebaut wurde. Die vier Statuen vor dem Erdgeschoss sind Allegorien der vier Jahreszeiten, daher der Name des Hauses. An der Hausecke steht eine Statue des hl. Johannes Nepomuk.

The "Haus zu den vier Jahreszeiten" (House of the Four Seasons), a listed town house at Körnermarkt 4 (here the front façade), is a double-gabled house with a 16th/17th century core that was remodelled in rococo style around 1765. The four statues in front of the ground floor are allegories of the four seasons, hence the name of the house. A statue of St. John Nepomuk stands at the corner of the house.
