Die neuste Generation an Stadler Fahrzeugen auf der Gornergrat Bahn (GGB) haben Einzug gehalten. Mit den Bhe 4/6 3093 + 3095 konnten am 14 Februar zwei Fahrzeuge talwärts vor der wohl bekanntesten Kulisse der Schweiz aufgenommen werden.

Pictured on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at Oxenhope station is the circa 1935 built "Bahamas". Designed by Sir William Stanier it was built in Scotland by the North British Locomotive Company.

Auf der Bergfahrt nach Bergün war die Ge 4/6 353 bei Filisur zu sehen.

Ge 4/6 353 pendelte zwischen Pontresina und S-chanf. Wenige Minuten, nachdem die Sonne das Gleis beleuchtete, befuhr sie mit dem Sonderzug Bever.

Great Western Railway 4-6-0 No. 4930 ‘Hagley Hall’ passes Eardington level crossing during Severn Valley Railway’s spring steam gala on 15th April 2023.

4930 was built in May 1929 at Swindon Works to a design by Charles Collett. It is one of eleven of this class that made it into preservation. The locomotive is named after Hagley Hall in Worcestershire.

Kurz vor ihrem Ziel Bauma wurde dann die Rückfahrt der Be 4/6 erwartet.

Zur Jahreshauptversammlung des Club 1889 gab es jeweils einen Sonderzug von Landquart und von Samedan aus nach Filisur. Das zweite Bild des Zuges aus Landquart entstand dann kurz hinter Cazis wo die schmucke 353 mit ihren 4 Wagen abgelichtet wurde.

Deze dag reed de 1304 van Zutphen naar Kijfhoek Noord. Toevallig was ik in Utrecht en na wat rekenwerk in de reisplanner gokte ik goed welk spoor de fraaie loc zou gaan nemen. Over spoor 8 zien we de 1304 als trein 80802 langskomen onderweg naar de Kijfhoek. Toch wel leuk zo'n oude loc - tussen 1952 en 1956 gebouwd - op zo'n nieuw station.

Hilton Head Sunrise

Während die Deutschschweiz verregnet und weggewindet wurde, genoss ich einen Tag im T-Shirt im Centovalli. Die Strecke von Camedo nach Locarno führt meistens nur wenige Meter neben der Strasse, dass sie fast auf allen Fotopunkten sichtbar ist. Dazu ist das Centovalli ausschliesslich bewaldet, so dass sich die meisten Fotopunkte auf die unzähligen Brücken beschränken. Eine davon ist diese gemauerte Brücke über den Bach Ri di droi.

Der SSIF ABe 4/6 63 ist soeben als PE 43 von Domodossola nach Locarno unterwegs. In Kürze wird der ausnahmsweise alleine verkehrende Triebwagen die Station Corcapogo durchfahren.

Kurz nach Sonnenaufgang konnte die 353 mit ihrem Sonderzug auf dem Weg von Pontresina nach S-chanf abgelichtet werden.

Info: Mir ist zu Ohren gekommen die Auslieferung der Flexity hat begonnen. Keine Ahnung ob das stimmt aber ich poste jetzt trotzdem mal n Bild von nem etwas älteren Triebwagen aus Zürich. Welche ja schliesslich abgelöst werden sollen.

IFS Cloud Royal Docks

The London cable car, also known as the Dangleway and officially as the IFS Cloud Cable Car for sponsorship reasons, is a cable car link across the River Thames in London, England.

Nella splendida cornice delle montagne sulla linea di confine innevate, un Vevey SSIF si dirige come treno internazionale verso Locarno. Ha lasciato dietro di se il villaggio di Trontano, di cui spicca ancora il campanile.

Vor der wunderschönen Kulisse der schneebedeckten Berge an der Grenzlinie fährt ein Vevey von SSIF als internationaler Zug nach Locarno. Er hinterlässt das Dorf Trontano, dessen Glockenturm noch hervorsticht.

Harking back to the golden age of steam… Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 7903 'Foremarke Hall' approaches Hayles Abbey Halt with a service from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire heritage railway.

Great Western Railway 'Foremarke Hall' was built in 1949 at Swindon Works.

Canadian Northern Railway 1112 ten-wheeler (4-6-0), built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1912, on display at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, Smiths Falls. This engine was one of fifty “G-16-a” class engines constructed between 1912 and 1913 for Canadian Northern Railway, which due to bankruptcy, was folded into the federal government created Canadian National Railways (CNR) in 1919. Engines from this class were strong yet simple, perfectly suited for the light duty jobs typically assigned to them, employed in both freight and passenger service.

Built as a coal-burner, it was converted to burn oil by the Quebec, North Shore, and Labrador Railway who purchased it, along with another G-16-a, from Canadian National Railways in 1952. Most of this class lasted into the mid to late 1950s before being retired.

Only one other locomotive of its class was saved from the scrapper’s torch, 1158, currently on display at the Western Development Museum in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

Op 3 juni 2023 had de dolimetrein naar Veendam vanaf Onnen veel vertraging opgelopen wegens een storing op de spoorlijn richting Veendam. Het lossen van de dolimetrein moest toen later gebeuren, waardoor de vertraging verder op liep. Op de zondagochtend van 4 juni 2023 kon daardoor niet 's ochtends vertrokken worden. Het lossen was nog bezig. 's Middags vertrok de trein vanuit Veendam naar Onnen. Voor de rit vanaf Onnen naar Sittard werd het beroep gedaan op de IRP 2107. Normaal gaf de 1700 tractie, maar dit keer mocht de G2000 dat doen. Nu de trein veel later reed, zijn er ook gelijk veel leukere fotoplekken mogelijk tussen Harderwijk en Amersfoort. We besloten om naar de bekende avondplek bij Nijkerkerveen te rijden. De trein begon hier een beetje op gang te komen. Er werd flink gas gegeven, waardoor ook een klein rookpluimpje zichtbaar is.

The Cambrian Coast Express was a named passenger train of the Great Western Railway (GWR), and later British Rail, running from London Paddington via Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and Pwllheli over the Cambrian Line.

Darling tried on both pairs of shoes that Dusty had brought. Considered. Then tried one of each at the same time.

Dusty: Hahaha, well? What's the verdict?

Darling: I don't want to be rude, but they are both a tad large.

Sindy: Large?! Impossible.

Dusty: Hahaha, you managed to distress the Sindy, Darling.

Darling: I'm awfully sorry.

Sindy: No, no not at all. I have one more person I can call.

Feebee: What's in that box? Is it a dolly?

Sindy: Yes dear, but it's ugly you don't want to play with it.

Feebee: But the outside is pretty.

I tried Dusty's original shoes, the white ones, and Ken's shoes, the purple, but both were too big. I was as rattled as Sindy.

Der BCFe 4/6 736 der BLS Stiftung als Extrazug in Cressier Richtung Yverdon.

In Zernez rollte die Ge 4/6 353 der RhB mit ihrem Zug wenige Minuten nachdem die Sonne das Gleis erleuchtete Richtung Scuol.
