Timmi was so hyperactive that day. He got to know a new dog friend that he wanted to chase all the time. I took advantage of the situation and waited for Timmi arriving at the other dog. He was so fast, you would rather call it flying than sprinting. Here is my favorite shot of the day. Enjoy!

At last, I got my new "rolling blind" and took it for a spin to one of my favorite local wildlife areas. This image not actually from my "blind" - in fact, I had to pull out everything I had with me to reach out to this lifer bird, a rare SoCal visitor. Check it: 600mm x 1.4, Sony 60+mp camera, image cropped a LOT. I threw out a lot too, just because of the heat wave distortion this bird was so far away. But always a thrill to rack up a lifer. Check it "large" - it'll hold up.

My first tilt-shift bokeh attempt using custom made tilt-shift adapter.

Die U-Bahnstation ist schon so ziemlich totgeknipst, aber ich glaub diese Ecke hat noch keiner, oder doch? Egal!

The nicest time to walk around in Kyoto is after sunset when everybody has left and you can walk around Gion and Higashiyama almost alone.

You can only hear the cicadas during summer in the heart of the city.

I really love the colours and the atmosphere of the blue hour. It's a great joy to use these for portraits or architecture :)

Thanks Flickr for the beautiful compression artifacts :)

I give you a short break from pictures of my usual suspects (dogs etc.). Here are some "B-Sides" (Thanks to Karsten Gieselmann for the idea :-))
