Before turning on the machine it is worth

checking that it is mechanically sound. A

first glance showed that the gantry was not square.

Clear demonstration of the effect cleaning a kapton tape printing bed can have. Use a small amount of acetone wiped across the bed to clean off fingerprints and oils.
