My final (with Kim Dean) for Space-Time I, a graduate level 3-dimensional art class at Drexel University. Kim and I bought 50 pounds of 3.5-inch coated sinker nails and set them up on the floor in a melting/dissipating grid pattern.

My mom gave me this as a gag gift for my birthday last year. I figured that taking an hour or so out of my birthday to color it this year might be kinda fun. It was, if you don't count the markers sucking ass (to be fair, they were already a year old at the time I was given the gift, and I let it sit around for another year, so, really, who's to blame for that?) and the quality of the cardstock being questionable (when resting your hand on it for a minute or so to color an area causes a grease spot to appear, you know you're dealing with high grade stuff), but, all in all, it was amusing if for no other reason than that I used to do that kind of layering effect to make "3-D" pictures as a kid.
Available in other colors at Gina's Art Designs at www.ginasartdesigns.us. It is located in the Image Gallery under Fleur de Lis Gallery

skin d.e.e.p. - digital ephemeral epidermal patterns by //benitez_vogl - Margarita Benitez and Markus Vogl's latest investigation in 3D printed exoskeletal jewelry that results in temporary patterns on skin. After pressure is applied to the 3D printed prosthesis it leaves a pattern that resembles snake skin. It lasts for about 15 minutes. In the gallery setup it shows the documentation images as well as the sculptures.
