September 3pm hour. A mesmerizing treasure trove of golden sunshine sparkles appeared in the water as I was walking around Ventura Harbor. Then in the fresh ocean breeze, along came a stand-up paddleboarder, unencumbered and uncluttered. After swirling through the sparkles like a lightweight nomad, he turns and looks back. I wonder if he saw the same thing I did. Anyway, it looks like he was freely enjoying the afternoon and I hope he goes home happy.
To be here was such a treat. I wanted a picture with boats for my 'Hours' picture because I was born in September in the 3pm hour on what is now 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day', so it worked out well. Arrr, Matey!
September is so lovely and it will transition into Fall before we know it. As Summer fades, it leaves its door open just a little...
Thank you again for your patience, my Flickr friends. I'm still off and on for awhile longer.

Last night's hard freeze wiped these little delicate blooms out but the just budding up Dogwoods seem to have survived what I hope is Winter's last blast. Thanks for the look and have a great Sunday.
FYI. Flickr continues to shave off an hour on every upload I make. A 3pm upload is scaled back to 2pm. So thanks for finding my shots in the Que.
I know fall has definitely arrived when we go spend a Sunday afternoon at the apple orchard. We went yesterday and hand-picked some new varieties for us... Zestar, Chestnut Crab and Sweet Tango... YUM!!!

On a Norwegian scale, Bergen is a large city, but one with a small-town charm and atmosphere. I finally got an afternoon in Fairbanks with somewhat clear skies to share what a late November sunset looks like, what could go wrong? the clock facing the camera is not correct the mega data is correct.
The Sun is in 16 minutes after this was taken this was my insurance shot and it paid off the light went away enroute to my next spot.
The camera is pointed due south, and the sun is setting in the southwest sky yep that big bright yellow spot

Looking west from the top of Volcan Mountain
I had just made it back to my car after hiking Volcan Mountain and had sat down to take off my boots when the first rain drops started hitting my car. But I that was the way I had planned it, the weather service said there would be thunderstorms moving through the area around 3pm and that is just about the time I got back to my car.
It was interesting to be dry but watching a deluge in the distance.
Holy Week: 9 of 12
At noon, the sky became extremely dark. The darkness lasted three hours. At three o’clock, Jesus groaned out of the depths, crying loudly, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
Some of the bystanders who heard him said, “Listen, he’s calling fo Elijah.” Someone ran off, soaked a sponge in sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down.”
But Jesus, with a loud cry, gave his last breath. At that moment the Temple curtain ripped right down the middle. When the Roman captain standing guard in front of him saw that he had stopped breathing, he said, “This has to be the Son of God!”
