The Galaxy Dropship showing its main gimmicks: rotating and extractable thrusters, opening hatch to reveal the co-pilot, swivelling wings and opening stern hatches to release cargo.
Here the Galaxy Dropship is holding a space lab similar to the Galaxy Commander.
Everything you need to have for a spaceship for display or for playing. Please support this 3in1 set proposal at LegoIdeas:
ABOUT:
Fuel tank or plasma tank or science lab may dock to the hangar or to the Galaxy Dropship. The truck fits into the Dropship and may be docked there as well. You may reposition the dropships wings, for different looks and better access. The for engines are rotable and the 2 front engines even move out. The Galaxy Dropship consists of the spacefighter Delta 9er and the cargo bay with wings. The Delta 9er fits a pilot and in the back a co-pilot.
Please support this at LegoIdeas in order to have a chance to become an official set.Thx.

I bought the 3in1 Creator set Deep Sea Creatures (31088) with creating old fashioned space monsters in mind.
Much to my surprise, the first result is not blue and white, of with the teeth it had. Instead, the small red fish and the crab provided me with the stuff needed for this one...

One of the first MOC's I did while working for LEGO in Denmark, and one of the few, that ever got to see the day of light, since 99% of the building I did there was, after all, confidential... :)
This was used as a prop for a team photo to be featured in the LEGO Creator 3in1 official page, back in the days were they had the designer profiles in there and whatnot!

At it again. Building the final model from the 3in1 Creator set. I like this more than the second. Although not as big, it has a light of charm.

Since the wings are attachable you could attach other type of wings or your own ones. In this case I have attached the wings from the small fighter converting the dropship into a classical space freighter. Docked is the trailer carrying the fuel tank.

So, after the earlier equipment malfunction we're just left with the final pic of the Muhammad Ali piece based on the wall we did earlier in the year which was itself based on a sketch my dad did back in the 70's and ended up in my auntie's kitchen. I've been unable to track down the photograph that it was assumably based on. There were just too many taken.
I'm pretty happy with how my slightly more pop art version turned out although (obviously) couldn't resist taking the tape off myself. If anyone needs Ali on their wall just drop us a line and we can make it happen.
Cheers

After faltering more than halfway into my 365 project last year, I have decided to challenge myself once again by taking this first step.
I normally am not one to make resolutions, but I will try to finish all things that I start, not just this project... BUT EVERYTHING!

Lego "Antares" is a 3in1 space creator set proposal at LegoIdeas uploaded on August 2021. If it becomes an official set, you could choose to build from 3 different scenarios: the Mining Outpost, the Galaxy Dropship or the Repair Bay. If you would acquire the set 3 times you could build every scenario at once and form your own space station. The picture shows part of the 3sets built (as the tower control or Blacktrons are not displayed here but are also part of the set proposal).
If you like it support it at LegoIdeas.

You may support for free "Antares", a 3in1 neo classic space set prroposal uploaded to LegoIdeas on August 2021. As you may choose from up to 3 different scenarios to build, you may also use the set twice or three times and combine it as you wish forming a space centre.
The pic shows a possibility of combining part of 3 sets. But only part of it, as the repair bay the fueling truck and so on is missing in the pic.
Get more info at LegoIdeas. There is a ton of possibilities. And maybe you support it as well ;-)

ABOUT:
The 3in1 Neo Classic space set proposal "Antares" does not feature only neo classic space but the antagonists as well: Blacktrons. Since it is a 3in1 set I needed to use less black in order to reuse the bricks for other neo classic space smodels as well. So I revised the colors in a more dark gray/black look.
The Blacktron spaceship features 4 rotable thrusters, 2 retractable landing feet and a cockpit that may be repositioned (I will show that in another pic), making it look aggressive.
Please support this neo classic space / Blacktron 3in1 set proposal at LegoIdeas.

The Galaxy Dropship is the 2nd alternate build possible from the bricks of Antares. The Blacktron add-ons that come with this possibility are displayed in another pic. Antares is a 3in1 space creator set proposal at LegoIdeas uploaded in August 2021. If you like it please support it. It is free with no obligations. If it reaches 10000 supporters it may become a set available at the stores.
The Galaxy Dropship scenario consists of the dropship itself (space fighter Delta9er plus cargo bay with wings make out the dropship). Furthermore a truck tows a trailer which may hold either a plasma or a fuel tank. A space lab which acts as a small control centre may be docked to the hangar. both tanks may also dock to the hangar.
The Galaxy Dropship may hold in its cargo bay the truck, the trailer with or without plasma or fuel tank or the space lab. But it does not end there. More infos at Legoideas!
Just a short in-between; a little review of one of the builds of set 31109. I bought two big sets for my Briney adventures, and this is the first full build from set 31109, the Pirate 3in1 set.
As far as I could find on the web, most people seemed to think Skull-Island was the least interesting build from the 3 possible builds.
And looking at the photo's I thought so too. I did not like the 'open' structure on which the skull rests or the wide open mouth, even with the skull in its 'closed' position. It can be tilted back to open the treasure cave even more.
So I build it mainly for learning how the skull was done. And then... I liked it a lot more than I expected!
While I still don't like the open mouth and the open back of the cave, the rather wild structure around the skull looks better than I expected. For me it is unclear if supposed to be a rock or a human build structure, and somehow that adds a nice mystery to this thing. And the white under the tan 'beach' plates makes for a nice foam shore line!
I planned on just building it and than take it apart to do my own Skull Island. In the end, I kept it on my shelf for several weeks, torn between using it as is, or doing my own thing.
I learned a lot again studying it and trying stuff with it. Building this with the skull lower (to really close the mouth when not tilted back) and with a back to the cave has 2 serious drawbacks. It becomes hard to place anything inside, and it does get very dark inside! Those people designing sets at Lego seem the know what they are doing!
And sets can look better in real life than in pictures...
By now I have decided to take it apart and try my own build, but with the skull almost unchanged (a few white tiles will be added). I am working on it now, but it will be a while before I am satisfied...
