The main thing I wanted from a day with the 3F on Monday was a sunlit portrait. 52322 is crossing the River Irwell on its way north from Bury. 12th February 2018

Fowler 3F Jinty 47482 with it's oddly placed number again. This time definitely Crewe and the loco is shunting some Royal Mail Vans. No date but 60's.
The loco was new to the LMS as 16565 in January 1928 and became 7482 in 1934. She was withdrawn in October 1966 and cut up at Cohens in Kettering in February 1967.

Date is the 27th of March 1966 but no known location. In view is Fowler 3F 47482 which was a Crewe loco so guess we may be there especially as there is some overhead wires in the background.. The loco is carrying its number on the tanks under the BR emblem which is unusual we think.
